Creative Toys Company is the toy division of Creative Distribution Ltd, one of Europe’s largest and most innovative independent video games distributors.
Creative Toys was launched to deliver incremental revenue to both toy makers and games retailers by bridging the gap between the toy industry and the games industry and Mark Stinchcombe, the ex-CEO of toy company Corinthian was recruited to give Creative’s toy business a separate identity and clear toy focus.
In August 2012 Creative Toys launched SoccerStarz, a range of realistic looking, pocket sized football figurines, fully authorised from the world's best football clubs. Licences include Manchester United, Chelsea FC., Liverpool FC, Arsenal FC. Following their launch, SoccerStarz sold over 1.5 million units in just 6 months.
The range has been expanded with licences from other clubs such as Barcelona FC, Real Madrid and more, and the figurines are listed in major retailers such as Tesco, Co-op, Toys R Us, Hamleys, One Stop Stores and also sold internationally from United States to Asia and South Africa.
Key to driving SoccerStarz sales growth has been Creative's marketing, which has established the brand via TV advertising, sampling and social media such as Twitter and Facebook, where it is building an impressive following.
Distributors are actively supported with customised, tailor made solutions to fit their markets and the company promotes each one separately on social media.
